University of Redlands Center for the Arts

Redlands, California

Role: Prime Consultant
Completed: 2010

Located on the south side of campus, the Center for the Arts provides multi-faceted, integrated space for the Theatre Arts, Studio Art, and Art History Departments. The 42,000 sq. ft. complex is comprised of the two-story Ann Peppers Hall, the all-new Frederick Loewe Theatre, and the expanded Glenn Wallichs Festival Theater.

SKA developed donor, identification and directional signage for the building and adjacent site. With design inspiration being drawn from the layered, linear nature of the façade, donor recognition elements combine modern and traditional materials to create a timeless homage. The program also conforms to LEED standards and the existing Master Sign Program.
