Kaiser Permanente Empire Corporate Plaza

Rancho Cucamonga, California

Role: Sub-Consultant to gkkworks
Completed: TBD

Background
This sales and administrative center is the first office Kaiser has built using a new templated space design developed by Gensler. The 39,000 sf space is divided into “hubs,” each identified by color.

SKA Scope
Collaborating with the gkkworks interior design team, SKA adapted the Kaiser healthcare facility sign standards for an office environment. SKA modified the standard KP healthcare sign design to incorporate color into the sign panels so that the signs could act in cohesion with the “hub” colors. Also, SKA developed custom super-graphics to identify these separate areas. Finally, because Kaiser is a strong proponent of employee health, SKA worked with the KP Project Management Team to develop an interior “Thrive Walk.” SKA determined the route through the office to achieve a onemile walk and designed the map and marker signage.
