Role: Sub-consultant to ELS Architecture and Urban Design
Size: 200,000 SF
Completed: 2014

Strategically abutted against Cal State Fresno, this mixed-use development offers over 200,000 square feet of retail and entertainment attractions to students and the surrounding community. The Square, a pedestrian-friendly plaza within the core, serves as a central gathering place, performance venue, outdoor dining area and play zone. A sequence of walking trails weaves from the Square throughout the site, lending to the college town atmosphere.

SKA was recruited for their expertise in developing collegial signage and wayfinding systems. Sign forms were crafted at human-scale to encourage foot traffic, while small curved monument signs edge entry points to greet visiting patrons. Beyond site, vehicular and pedestrian signage, the scope also includes tenant signage standards that define criteria for future tenant installations.
