SKA was retained for their professional expertise on several projects associated with a $180 million general facilities bond, including:

Facilities & Utilities Master Plan
SKA developed a signage master plan to accommodate planned construction of seven buildings and related campus improvements. To that end, SKA prepared a diagrammatic sign type menu and sign location plans for a family of exterior sign types including: primary project identification at campus entrances; vehicular directional signage; parking entrance identification; pedestrian directional signage; and you-are-here directory maps. This work provides a foundation on which to develop future signage programs.

Fine Arts Complex
The striking 64,212 square foot complex will house classrooms, dance studios, labs, music rehearsal spaces, conference rooms, exhibit halls and offices. Glass corridors, light-filled atriums, landscaped courtyards and undulating staircases provide a serene atmosphere that invites students to come in and unwind. Building signage subtly informs wayfinding as a complement to the architectural program. The sign program includes exterior building signage, vehicular and pedestrian directional signs for site areas adjacent to the building and interior wayfinding, identification and code-required signs.

Student Services Center
The new center is comprised of a 44,788 square foot, two-story student services building along with a new 21,053 square foot, two-story administration building. Both buildings are designed to LEED Silver criteria. The design features retro architectural elements with a modern flair. SKA prepared a comprehensive signage program of both exterior and interior signs under the architect’s directive.
